Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking an excellent Data Engineer who is passionate about data and insights from large datasets. You will work with BI Engineers, Data Scientists, ML scientists, and product managers to design scalable data solutions in a cloud environment.

The role focuses on building data architecture, data quality, and reporting, collaborating across teams to enable advanced analytics and self-service insights for AWS customers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and ETL pipelines
• Experience with one or more query language (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, SparkSQL, Scala)
• Experience with one or more scripting language (e.g., Python, KornShell)

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve data architecture, data quality, monitoring, and availability.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to implement analytics algorithms on large data sets.
• Partner with BAs to test hypotheses improving the AWS Support business.
• Improve reporting and analysis processes to enable self-service for customers.
• Pilot and scale data architecture with growing data sets on AWS.
