Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Data Engineer to own significant portions of our data architecture and deliver data solutions that impact planning accuracy across Amazon's delivery network.

You will design logical/physical data models, build ETL pipelines with AWS services (Redshift, S3, EMR, Glue, Lambda, Athena) and Python, and create declarative, reusable data frameworks. You will enable AI agents to generate SQL and enforce data quality while partnering with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• 1+ years building large-scale BI data structures with ETL/ELT.
• 1+ years building large-scale BI data structures with OLAP.
• 1+ years building large-scale BI data structures with data modeling.
• 1+ years building large-scale BI data structures with SQL.
• 1+ years building large-scale BI data structures using Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Design and own data models for major datasets.
• Build and optimize ETL pipelines using AWS and Python.
• Develop configuration-driven data frameworks.
• Build AI agent tooling and MCP-based interfaces for SQL via natural language.
• Own ongoing data quality, SLAs, and data certification processes.
• Collaborate with planning scientists, software engineers, and PMs.
• Improve self-service access to data and tooling.
• Improve engineering processes and code quality.
• Mentor engineers and interns and participate in recruitment.
