Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to deliver high quality data solutions and drive cloud/on-prem data warehousing initiatives. You will collaborate with engineering, analytics, data science, and product teams in a fast-paced environment, supporting migrations to cloud and building scalable data pipelines.

The role requires 4+ years of SQL experience, 2+ years in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure/Databricks/Snowflake) and 2+ years in on-prem platforms (SQL Server/Oracle/Teradata).

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience working with SQL and relational database management systems
• 2+ years of experience in Cloud Data Engineering Platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake etc.
• 2+ years of experience in on-prem Data Engineering Platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata etc.
• Programming and modifying code in languages like SQL, Python, and PySpark to support and implement Cloud based and on-prem data warehousing services.
• Hands-on experience with dimensional data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting data issues
• Hands-on experience with various performance improvement techniques
• Willingness to identify and implement process improvements, and best practices as well as ability to take ownership to work within a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-based support environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality modern data solutions in collaboration with engineering, analysts, data scientists, and product teams
• Design, integrate, and implement data solutions on-premise and assist migrations to the cloud
• Support processing payer files into the Data Warehouse
• Work in a fast-paced, agile environment leveraging cutting-edge technology
• Own data warehousing tasks and drive improvements to ensure reliability and performance
