Job summary

Slalom is a data engineering consultant delivering scalable data platforms for leading organizations across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. As a Data Engineer in Tampa, you will join collaborative teams to design and implement data solutions that empower decision-making and AI initiatives.

You’ll work on modern data technologies, streaming, data warehouses, and real-time processing, shaping the next generation of data platforms while growing your skills in a fast-moving, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands‑on experience designing, building, and optimizing data engineering solutions in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing components of clients’ data platform solutions, typically working under the direction of a Solution Architect
• Participating in design sessions and translating complex requirements into actionable development tasks
• Ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of development items — both for yourself and for the data engineers you support
• Building solutions using modern data technologies: cloud data warehouses, distributed processing engines, event streaming platforms, and more
• Working across data engineering disciplines, including streaming/real-time data, modern data platforms, data architecture, and AI-accelerated data engineering
