Prolaio is building a secure, cloud-based data platform in the Chicago area to advance precision cardiology. We seek a Data Engineer to enhance data pipelines powering analytics and ML models, collaborating with data scientists, product teams, and engineers.

Hybrid work with office in Chicagoland preferred. The role emphasizes Python/SQL data manipulation, data lake management on GCP, and compliance with security standards in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
3-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar.
Cloud experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure.
Hands-on data warehousing and orchestration experience.
Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation.

Responsibilities

Develop and operate data lakes on cloud platforms (GCP).
Automate data workflows using Python to support ML models.
Build pipelines with Dagster, dbt, and transform data for analytics.
Ensure data security and regulatory compliance (PII/PHI).
Collaborate with data scientists, product teams, and engineers.
