Job summary

Vista Innovative Solutions (VIS) seeks an Army Vantage Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines across multiple Army source systems using Palantir Foundry. You will develop analytics and AI/ML models, andembed them into low-code apps to deliver real-time readiness, logistics, finance, and personnel insights.

You will gather requirements from Army commanders, ensure data governance and security, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into scalable AI-driven

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering, software development, or analytics, including ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with PySpark or similar distributed processing.
• Experience applying AI/ML to operational data and putting models into production.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Data Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines in Palantir Foundry from multiple Army systems.
• Develop analytics and AI/ML models and ontology objects for trusted data views.
• Operationalize AI into low-code apps and AI-enabled workflows for real-time insights.
• Write and optimize transforms using PySpark, Python, and SQL for model prep.
• Gather requirements from Army commanders and staff and translate into technical solutions.
• Monitor pipeline and model health, troubleshooting and tracking performance.
• Apply data governance, security, access-control, and DoD policy standards.
