Vista Innovative Solutions, LLC is onsite at Fort Knox, KY, designing and delivering data pipelines, AI/ML solutions, and low-code operational applications on the Army Vantage platform (Palantir Foundry).

The role focuses on building Palantir Foundry data pipelines, developing analytics and AI/ML models, and operationalizing AI into low-code apps like Workshop and Slate, with governance and security aligned to DoD policies. Involves agile collaboration with Army stakeholders.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
• CompTIA Security+
• Active Secret Clearance
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or analytics with ETL/ELT pipelines
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with PySpark or similar distributed data processing
• Experience applying AI/ML to operational data and deploying models into production
• Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills; able to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Work onsite at Fort Knox, KY designing and delivering data pipelines, AI/ML solutions, and low-code operational applications on the U.S. Army’s Army Vantage platform (Palantir Foundry).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines in Palantir Foundry, including ingestion, transformation, and validation across Army source systems and legacy platforms
• Develop analytics, AI/ML models, and ontology objects to provide users a consistent and trusted view of operational data
• Operationalize AI by embedding models into low-code applications (e.g., Workshop, Slate) and AI-enabled workflows (e.g., Palantir AIP) for readiness, logistics, finance, and personnel insights
• Write and optimize transforms using PySpark, Python, and SQL, including feature engineering and data preparation for model training
• Collect requirements from Army commanders and staff, then translate needs into technical and AI-driven solutions
• Monitor pipeline and model health, troubleshoot failures, and track model performance, accuracy, and drift
• Apply data governance, security, access control, and responsible AI standards aligned to Army and DoD policy
• Use an Agile framework to manage tasks and document solutions for the Vantage developer community

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or analytics, including building ETL/ELT pipelines
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with PySpark or similar distributed data processing
• Experience applying AI/ML (predictive modeling, forecasting, NLP, or LLM-enabled workflows) to operational data and deploying models into production
• Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills; able to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• CompTIA Security+
• Active Secret Clearance
