Hendrick Autoguard - HIC is seeking a mid‑level Data Engineer to own data ingestion, transformation, and data modeling on the Snowflake platform. You will design pipelines, orchestrate Dagster workflows, and ensure data quality and governance to support BI, AI, and analytics teams.

You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers, delivering well‑documented datasets and scalable architectures while staying current with evolving best practices in data engineering and AI data

Formación

• 3–7 years of professional experience in data engineering or related discipline.
• Proficient in SQL and hands‑on experience with a cloud data warehouse, a data transformation and modeling framework, and a workflow orchestration tool.
• Experience with Snowflake, dbt, and Dagster strongly preferred; familiarity with AWS (storage, IAM, networking).
• Preferred Python for pipeline development or data scripting.
• Experience translating business needs into technical requirements; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsabilidades

• Own data movement from source systems into the Snowflake data platform; design, build, and maintain ingestion pipelines.
• Orchestrate Dagster workflows to be observable, reliable, and operationally sound; monitor pipeline health and data availability.
• Develop and maintain dbt transformation models and data marts for reporting and ML use cases.
• Prepare data for AI by structuring feature datasets and training pipelines; collaborate with data science teams.
• Contribute to the semantic layer for consistent access to metrics and entities; uphold data lineage and governance.
• Advise on strategic direction of the data engineering toolset and stay current with industry best practices.
