Job summary

Hendrick Automotive Group seeks a mid-level Data Engineer to build and operate data pipelines, transform data, and support BI and AI initiatives. You will own ingestion, modeling, and data quality, collaborating with analysts, data scientists, and AI teams to ensure reliable, well-documented datasets.

You will work with Snowflake, Dagster, dbt, and AWS in a hands-on role that emphasizes business understanding, proactive design, and governance to enable insights across the organization.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of professional data engineering experience.
• Proficient in SQL and hands-on with a cloud data warehouse and data transformation framework.
• Strong preferred: Snowflake, dbt, Dagster; familiarity with AWS, storage, IAM, networking.

Responsibilities

• Own movement of data from source systems into Snowflake.
• Design, build, and maintain ingestion pipelines; orchestrate Dagster workflows; monitor pipeline health.
• Investigate and fix data issues; implement alerts for early problem detection.
• Develop and maintain dbt models; design dimensional models and data marts.
• Prepare data for AI; collaborate with data science teams for quality and structure.
