WHAT’S BREWING IN THIS ROLE...

We’re looking for a hands‑on Data Engineer who’s a true do’er someone who thrives on solving real‑world data problems and turning complexity into clarity. You’ll play a critical role in mapping data from new systems into our existing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) analytics environment, ensuring seamless data flows, transformation, and insight generation.

You’ll be the glue between source systems and analytics, responsible for rebuilding current data capabilities using new system inputs, all while ensuring performance, scalability, and integrity.

THE FLAVOR YOU ADD...

• Data Mapping & Integration: Analyze and map data from new source systems to our existing data models and structures in GCP.
• ETL & Data Pipelines: Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using GCP tools and custom scripting to move and transform data.
• Scripting & Automation: Write scripts (e.g., Python, SQL, Shell) to automate data ingestion, transformation, and scheduling processes.
• Environment Maintenance: Maintain and enhance the data and analytics environment by ensuring reliability and data accuracy.
• Analytics Enablement: Support Power BI developers and analysts by delivering clean, structured, and accessible data.
• Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve data inconsistencies, missing data, and other data quality issues.
• Data Discovery: Identify and assess new data sources that can enrich analytics and reporting capabilities.
• Scheduling & Orchestration: Use tools (e.g., Cloud Composer, Airflow, or similar) to schedule and monitor data workflows.

• Excellent communicator who can work cross‑functionally with analysts, data scientists, and business users.
• Detail‑oriented with a passion for data quality and process improvement.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in data engineering, with a strong track record of mapping and transforming data from diverse systems.
• Experience working with Power BI or similar BI tools to understand downstream data needs.
• Demonstrated ability to write scalable and efficient data pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; able to dissect complex data structures and find elegant solutions.
• Comfortable working in agile environments with shifting priorities and hands‑on technical challenges.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Proficient in SQL, ETL tools, and data scripting languages (Python preferred).
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, etc.).

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Data, Information Technology, or a related field.
