Job summary

Applitrack at Webster County High School seeks a Student Support and Outreach Specialist to help students succeed academically, attend more consistently, and engage families and the community. The role uses data to identify learning needs and coordinates targeted supports with teachers and counselors.

The successful candidate will implement interventions, monitor progress, prepare data for PLCs, and promote positive school communications across approved channels.

Qualifications

• Valid WV Teaching Certificate endorsed in an area of secondary or middle school education.
• Experience working with students in a school or youth-serving setting.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze student data and support data-informed intervention and instructional planning.
• Satisfactory evaluations, when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing intervention strategies to improve attendance, engagement, and academic success.
• Monitor attendance and academic data; identify students needing support.
• Coordinate attendance, engagement supports, and PLC preparation with school personnel.
• Assist with attendance, academic, and student recognition programs.
• Create and maintain data notebooks or tools to track progress and goals.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
