Job summary

Datavations in New York seeks a Sales Engineer to partner with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle, validate data against a prospect’s numbers, build the analysis that clarifies value, and present and defend that analysis to technical and executive audiences. This is a hands-on, technical role at the center of the sales process.

You’ll work with data and analytics tools, including SQL, spreadsheets, BI tools, and AI-assisted workflows, communicating clearly to diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in technical pre-sales or solutions consulting
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with data
• Excellent presentation and communication skills for senior audiences

Responsibilities

• Analysis & insight development: turn raw data into a clear, structured analysis tied to the business decision
• Deal scoping: scope technical requirements and build supporting pricing or proposals
• Demo & presentation delivery: build and deliver product demonstrations and analytical presentations for senior audiences
• Data validation: run correlation and variance analysis and explain methodology to technical and non-technical audiences
• Cross-functional handoff: collaborate with sales, customer success, and product teams with clean handoff documents
• Tools & data fluency: work with data tools (spreadsheets, SQL, BI tools, Claude) and AI-assisted workflows
