Job summary

Form Energy is seeking a Senior Process Engineer with a strong background in Data Optimization to join the NPI Operations team at its Weirton facility. You will lead and support initial operational production assembly processes by providing data analytics tools to optimize line performance.

This role integrates, shares, and deepens process data systems for our first-of-a-kind manufacturing facility in a fast-moving company with breakthrough technology and a mission-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field and 5+ years experience in a production environment, or similar academic experience.
• Excellence in SQL, Python, R, or other data analysis tools.
• Ability to define data architecture in cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience in data analysis, statistical analysis, and process optimization.
• Hands‑on experience with production line data collection and analysis.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth analysis of process data to identify patterns, correlations, and trends that impact production line performance.
• Use statistical methods to provide insights that drive improvements in KPIs such as output, yield, and quality.
• Design and build customized data analytics tools that enable process and equipment engineers to better understand and troubleshoot production issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously refine and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Utilize data-driven approaches to recommend process changes, equipment upgrades, or operational adjustments that enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve overall production outcomes.
• Work to improve the accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of process data by developing automated systems for real-time data collection and reporting to ensure that relevant stakeholders have the information they need to make informed decisions quickly.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations that communicate complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner to stakeholders at all levels.
