Job summary

Fairfield Processing Corporation is seeking a skilled Process Engineer to oversee and optimize ergonomics, workflows, and work instructions to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality. The role involves leading cross-functional teams and analyzing current processes to implement innovative solutions aligned with strategic goals.

The candidate will drive improvements across manufacturing, coordinate with leaders and QA, and ensure compliant processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 4 years of strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and process mapping.
• MS Excel analytics; familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite ERP manufacturing module).
• Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar.
• Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
• Adaptable to change and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Measure and analyze manufacturing workflows, bottlenecks, ergonomics, routings, and work instructions to identify improvements.
• Collaborate with team leads and managers to identify optimization strategies and obtain approvals.
• Implement approved strategies in work instructions, ERP routings and BOMs, and coordinate rollout.
• Participate in change management to ensure smooth transitions when implementing new processes or technologies.
• Contribute to Failure Mode & Effects Analysis with the Quality team to measure success and identify risks.
• Ensure processes comply with industry regulations, company policies, and standards.
• Identify risks and propose mitigations; communicate with stakeholders to ensure mitigation success.
• Identify automation opportunities and build cost-justified business cases for leadership review.
• Plan process design, floor layout, and staffing for new and seasonal SKUs.
