Job summary

Compass Charter Schools seeks an Intervention Tutor based in California to support scholars through math and reading tutoring within a blended/virtual learning environment. You will orient new scholars and learning coaches, proctor assessments as needed, and provide data-driven, standards-aligned instruction.

The role emphasizes collaboration with academic staff, data review, and flexible support for multiple scholars in both one-on-one and small-group settings.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college/university.
• 2+ years of successful experience in private and/or non-profit sector experience, or related school operations.
• Experience with blended, online, personalized, and/or virtual learning schools preferred.
• Experience using assessment data to create & deliver standards-aligned lessons.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mini-lessons in math and/or reading aligned to standards and scholar data.
• Orient new scholars and learning coaches to program and technical setup.
• Assist in proctoring school-wide assessments as needed.
• Tutor scholars in one-on-one and small-group settings.
• Maintain the tracking system for scholar attendance/participation and progress.
• Compile data and reports for management.
• Remain in open communication with academic staff for guidance and support.
• Participate in scholar collaboration meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
