Job summary

Summit Public Schools is hiring a Math Intervention Tutor to provide targeted, small-group and 1:1 math support, using data to tailor instruction and reinforce grade-level learning. The role collaborates with the Manager of Math Practice, site leadership, and teachers to accelerate student achievement across CA campuses.

Candidate will work in-person across CA Summit sites, implementing Illustrative Math and Teach to One, monitoring progress and adjusting supports to ensure students access

Qualifications

• Commitment to Summit’s mission and belief in equitable, grade-level instruction.
• Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
• Experience tutoring or mentoring middle or high school students.
• Ability to adapt lessons based on student needs.
• Strong relationships with students and collaboration with staff.

Responsibilities

• Guide targeted math practice for foundational skills and vocabulary.
• Pre-teach and re-teach concepts to ensure access to core instruction.
• Align tutoring with grade-level curriculum for coherence with classroom work.
• Deliver small-group and individual tutoring during Student Support Blocks and SDL times.
• Use assessment data to adjust tutoring strategies and share progress with teachers.
