Job summary

KIPP Capital Region seeks an Academic Interventionist to tutor and coach students, set goals, and manage academic cases to raise performance. The role emphasizes data-driven planning within blended learning and requires strong pedagogy and collaboration with teachers.

Based in Albany/Troy, NY, the position engages families, supports school culture, and participates in staff development and events to foster student growth and equity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required and NYS teaching licensure preferred.
• Minimum two years of classroom experience, preferably in urban or charter schools.
• Ability to work flexible hours and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop academic lesson plans based on students' learning needs; make instruction engaging.
• Use data to drive student growth and engagement across blended learning programs.
• Provide daily feedback on mastery in academics and character.
• Lead small-group tutoring, coaching, and goal-setting to bridge gaps in understanding.
• Perform routine administrative tasks and maintain accurate records.
