The Accounting Officer, Specialist (AO) will process, validate, and complete deposits through Remittance Advice (RA) received from State Treasury Office (SCO). Reclass deposits for all processed wires in the Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal) system. Remit Remote Processing Deposits through General Fund (0001) and other miscellaneous funds for remittance in the FI$Cal system. Analyze, research, and resolve Cash Receipts issues and discrepancies related to the remit, including process of Transmittal Requests (TR), Journal entries (General Ledger Module) and Account Receivable Module. Process and reclass all Redeposit outstanding in SCO9999 on daily basis. Maintain and update daily receipts of Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT's)/Automated Clearing House (ACH's) and communicate with program. Upload Remote Processing System (RPS) textile daily for FI$Cal upload and remit.

This position is located in East End Complex (EEC) across the street from the California State Capitol Park and the Rose Garden. The EEC is walking distance to public transportation and near various eateries.
The Fiscal Program’s Financial Management Division (FMD) works to accomplish DHCS’s mission through fiscal integrity, transparency, and accountability of approximately $202.7 billion annually. This is accomplished by overseeing the financial operations of DHCS, including financial reporting, resource management, and budget development and oversight. FMD provides guidance and consultation to programs on funding needs, expenditures, including contracts and purchasing, and audit support, while ensuring funds are accurately reported.
