Job summary

Delta Dental of Iowa is seeking a Marketing Analyst Intern to join our Johnston team. You will analyze marketing campaigns, turn data into insights, and help automate reporting using Python, SQL, VBA, and Power BI.

This paid, temporary internship runs May 19, 2027, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., at our Johnston location. You will learn reporting tools, model development, and new analytics techniques while collaborating with the Marketing team and gaining exposure to the insurance

Qualifications

• Undergraduate pursuing Marketing, Business Analytics, or related field.
• Current 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Registered as a student at a college or university.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Coursework in business, statistics, research, marketing, mathematics, or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Submit a written analysis and present a summary to leadership.
• Freshman and Sophomore candidates participate in Insure Your Future program with leadership opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze marketing campaigns and review results using Power BI.
• Develop reporting tools using Python, SQL, and VBA.
• Research new analytic developments.
• Build macros to automate processes.
• Assist Marketing team with reviewing projects and tool enhancements.
• Establish relationships with internal and external teams.
• Complete special projects on time with high quality.
• Engage in internship program networking opportunities.
• Represent Delta Dental of Iowa professionally; maintain confidentiality.
