Job summary

Backroads is seeking a Demand Planner to analyze booking trends, performance data, and market insights, informing capacity and trip assortment decisions. You will partner with Trip Development, Marketing, Hotel Operations, and Analytics to optimize offerings and drive growth.

The role requires 3+ years in planning or analytics, a Bachelor's degree, and advanced Excel skills. This is an on-site position in Berkeley, with one WFH day per week.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of planning, forecasting, analytics, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related discipline.
• Advanced Excel and experience working with large datasets to identify trends and support decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Analyze booking trends, trip performance, and demand patterns to identify opportunities and risks.
• Review trip performance and departure schedules; adjust capacity and inventory based on demand.
• Lead biannual planning meetings; develop proposals; drive alignment among stakeholders and leadership.
• Support cross-functional partners with data-driven guidance on performance, scheduling, and capacity requests.
• Contribute to annual assortment planning; shape the Backroads portfolio for the next 2–3 years.
