Job summary

Slalom is seeking an experienced Data Delivery Owner to lead the development and implementation of clients’ data products and transformation initiatives. You will manage large programs, align business strategy with technical execution, and guide agile teams to deliver data-driven outcomes.

The role requires strong stakeholder management, deep knowledge of modern data platforms, and the ability to present outcomes to executives.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in technical project management, product management, technical delivery leadership roles, data products, analytics platforms, data warehousing, or data transformation initiatives.
Understanding of modern data platforms and architecture, including data lakes, data warehouses, ETL/ELT patterns, APIs, cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and modern data stack technologies such as Snowflake, dbt, Databricks, DataOps, and data mesh.
Expertise in Agile Delivery demonstrated through project experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Miro, VersionOne, Rally, etc.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and lead executive-level communications.
Strategic thinking with ability to balance long-term vision and short-term execution with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to present to C-suite executives and senior leadership with clarity, credibility, and conciseness; connect technical solutions to business strategy.
Understanding of industry trends and domain challenges for the program and client industry.
Collaborative leadership style that enables consensus and alignment.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of data products, data transformation programs, and data-focused workstreams, owning scope, timelines, budgets, and staffing.
Serve as the primary solution and delivery owner, balancing business needs with technical feasibility and architectural standards.
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating capabilities into business value.
Articulate ROI, cost savings, revenue opportunities, and long-term value of data initiatives.
Drive account growth through high-quality delivery and trusted client relationships.
Coach and enable high-performing, self-organizing teams through agile principles.
Resolve impediments and champion delivery principles to maintain momentum.
Leverage AI, automation, and collaboration tools to streamline delivery and surface insights.
Mentor others and share best practices for delivery leadership and execution.
