Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Data Conversion Specialist for an in-office role in Rochester, NY. You will support implementations by converting payroll data, coordinating data extraction with clients, and using MS Excel and SQL Server to resolve issues. A bachelor’s degree and payroll data experience are preferred.

You will work with Implementation Consultants to ensure successful data migrations and contribute to maintaining data quality and process improvements within a dynamic HR/payroll platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 3–5 years’ experience with payroll data is preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a team with autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Respond to internal and external requests during implementation.
• Coordinate electronic data extraction with clients and schedule data transfers.
• Convert time clocks, history, and data extractions into Paylocity systems.
• Research issues using MS Excel, SQL Server, and Paylocity tools.
• Format client data for accuracy prior to uploading.
• Ensure previous provider data is correctly extracted for Web Pay.
• Analyze and define mapping rules for data conversion.
• Assist in data cleanup as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
