Job summary

Paylocity in Rochester, NY is seeking a Data Conversion Specialist to join our in-office team. This role combines technical ability with payroll knowledge to convert new companies onto our payroll processing platform, using SQL, MS Excel, and Paylocity data conversion tools.

You will support Implementation Consultants, coordinate data extraction, format client data, and map rules. A Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of payroll data experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3-5 years’ experience working with payroll data preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and pay strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and analytical/problem solving ability.
• Work well in a team while managing autonomous workload.

Responsibilities

• Respond to internal and external requests during implementation.
• Coordinate and schedule electronic data extraction with clients.
• Convert time clocks, history, and custom data extractions for payroll.
• Use MS Excel, SQL Server, and Paylocity tools to research issues and update databases.
• Review client data for accuracy prior to uploading and map rules.
