Shelter House is seeking a dedicated AmeriCorps VISTA member to bolster data collection, analysis, and reporting, building sustainable systems for accountability and service delivery.

You will help establish a Community Information Exchange (CIE) in Johnson County, with templates, partner tracking tools, and documentation processes for staff and partners to maintain after the term.

Shelter House offers a robust continuum of programs and supports focusing on emergency, stabilization, and long-term interventions in the areas of housing, employment and mental health recovery. In doing so, we help hundreds of men, women, and children each year to overcome difficult barriers in their lives and move beyond homelessness. VISTA members provide crucial and important roles in the organization, and community as a whole, to increase the capacity and breadth of services available to the most vulnerable. We are thankful for our VISTA members who commit a year supporting our organization and dedicating themselves to our mission to end homelessness. We seek VISTA members who are driven and dedicated, always putting in good-faith effort to perform their job duties. We encourage our AmeriCorps VISTA members to go out into the world and absorb the lessons it has to offer! Their service year is an opportunity for personal growth and awareness building. Member Duties :

The Data & Compliance VISTA will strengthen Shelter House’s long-term capacity for data collection, analysis, reporting, and compliance by developing sustainable systems, tools, and processes that improve service delivery, accountability, and organizational efficiency. The VISTA will develop resources and frameworks to support community-wide efforts to establish a Community Information Exchange (CIE) in Johnson County, including standardized coordination procedures, meeting templates, partner tracking tools, and documentation processes that can be maintained by staff and community partners after the VISTA’s service term. Additionally, the VISTA will develop program monitoring tools, grant compliance tracking systems, data quality procedures, and reporting resources that strengthen organizational capacity and support long-term sustainability.
