Encompass Housing seeks a VISTA Fund Development & Partnership Coordinator to strengthen funding capacity and build sustainable partnerships. Working with the Grants Team, you will research opportunities, support proposal development, and create systems to track prospects.

Based in CALIFORNIA (Los Angeles area), this full-time AmeriCorps VISTA role runs 11/16/2026–11/15/2027. English and Spanish speakers welcome; College graduate required.

Job description

Encompass Housing works to prevent and end homelessness by providing recuperative care, housing navigation, supportive services, and community-based programs that help individuals and families achieve housing stability and self-sufficiency. Through partnerships with local governments, community organizations, and funders, Encompass Housing addresses barriers to housing and economic security for vulnerable populations. The VISTA Fund Development and Partnership Coordinator will strengthen the organization's capacity to secure resources and build sustainable partnerships that support long-term program growth. Working closely with the Grants Team, the VISTA member will research and identify prospective funding opportunities, focus on funder outreach and grant development activities, and develop systems to track funding prospects. The member will also increase awareness of the organizational services and build relationships with community-based organizations and stakeholders by building capacity for community events, coalition meetings, and networking opportunities. Through these efforts, the VISTA member will strengthen organizational resources, increase collaboration across service sectors, and expand Encompass Housing’s capacity to address housing instability and poverty.

Member Duties

Objective 1: Identify and pursue new funding opportunities. Research grant and funding opportunities. Build systems for grant prospect tracking and funder outreach. Assist grants team with proposal development activities.

Objective 2: Increase community engagement and visibility by building capacity for community meetings and networking events and promoting Encompass Housing's mission and services. Develop outreach materials and partnership resources.

Objective 3: Build strategic partnerships. Develop relationships with CBOs and stakeholders. Research and identify opportunities for collaborative programming for the organization. Establish partnership tracking systems and resource directories.
