Job summary

EY is seeking a Data and Cloud Engineering Manager to turn data and AI capabilities into scalable production solutions across cloud platforms, primarily Azure. The role spans from architecture to ingestion, governance, and production handoffs, with leadership and commercial acumen expected.

You will own workstreams, budgets and client interactions, while mentoring technical talent and delivering reliable, observable cloud services at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (4-year degree).
• Typically, 4–6 years of relevant experience.
• Proven record operating High Availability services on Azure (4+ years).
• Expert understanding of Azure services: Functions, App/Container, SQL DB, Blob, AKS, Monitor, Prometheus.
• Experience designing, deploying and managing Kubernetes orchestration.
• Experience implementing SRE for resiliency and scalability in Kubernetes.
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Experience implementing SLIs/SLOs and error budgets.
• Experience monitoring container-based microservices & cloud services.
• Proficient with CI/CD tools, preferably GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies; strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more technical workstreams and assure delivery quality.
• Translate business requirements into architecture, pipelines and production platforms.
• Maintain daily client engagement and identify adjacent service opportunities.
• Manage resource plans, budgets and engagement economics.
• Own problems from data source to production handoff and monitoring.
• Automate and improve processes and tools across cross-functional teams.
• Stay hands-on with tested, version-controlled code and observability.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure availability and performance.
