Job summary

EY is seeking a Data and Cloud Engineering Manager to turn data and AI capabilities into scalable, governable production solutions. You will own workstreams, budgets and client interactions while driving delivery quality across cloud platforms, primarily Azure, and modern containerized architectures.

You will lead teams across data engineering, software engineering and AI/ML, balancing hands-on coding with strategic oversight in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (4-year degree).
• Typically, no less than 4–6 years of relevant experience.
• Proven record operating High Availability services on Azure (4+ years).
• Expert understanding of core Azure services including Azure Functions, Container Apps, SQL Database, Blob Storage, AKS, Monitor, and Prometheus.
• Experience designing, deploying and managing container orchestration platforms using Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing SRE standards for resiliency and scalability of microservices in Kubernetes.
• Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform.
• Experience implementing SLIs/SLOs and error budgets.
• Experience monitoring container-based microservices and cloud platform services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools - GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of agile methodology and working by its principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter with quick problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more technical workstreams and assure delivery quality.
• Translate business and client requirements into architecture, pipelines or production platforms.
• Maintain daily client engagement and identify adjacent service opportunities.
• Manage resource plans, budgets and engagement economics.
• Own problems from raw data through pipeline, model/analysis and production handoff.
• Automate and optimize processes, tools and communications across cross-functional teams.
• Remain hands-on with tested, version-controlled, observable code.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure availability, reliability and performance.
• Design, provision and run the cloud and container platform that teams rely on in production.
• Build scalable pipelines and streaming architectures using Python/SQL on cloud platforms.
• Apply data architecture, modeling, integration, quality and security best practices.
• Embed governance, observability and operational support beyond model development.
