Job summary

EY is seeking a Data and Cloud Engineering Manager to turn data and AI capabilities into scalable, reliable production solutions. You will own workstreams across architecture, ingestion, governance, pipelines and production handoff, while mentoring teams and managing budgets.

You will work hands-on on cloud platforms (Azure predominant, with AWS/GCP), build scalable pipelines, and embed governance, observability and quality assurance throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (4-year degree).
• Typically, no less than 4 - 6 years of relevant experience.
• Proven record operating High Availability services on Azure (4+ years).
• Expert understanding of core Azure services (Functions, Container Apps/Apps, SQL Database, Blob Storage, AKS, Monitor/Insights, Prometheus).
• Experience designing, deploying and managing container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing SRE standards for resiliency and scalability in Kubernetes.
• Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Experience implementing SLIs, SLOs and Error Budgets.
• Experience monitoring container-based microservices & cloud platforms.
• CI/CD tools - GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.
• Agile methodology and strong problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more technical workstreams and assure delivery quality.
• Translate requirements into architecture, pipelines, models, or production platforms.
• Maintain daily client engagement and identify adjacent service opportunities.
• Manage resource plans, budgets and engagement economics.
• Own problems from data source to production handoff.
• Automate and optimize processes, tools and cross-functional communication.
• Remain hands-on with tested, observable code and production readiness.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure availability and performance of services.
