Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Technical Instructor, Whitespace Infrastructure to deliver hands-on and classroom-based training for field technicians, customers, and partners. The role develops course materials, labs, and programs aligned with new product releases and data center tech trends.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent with field experience.
• 5+ years in installation, commissioning, field service, deployment, or technical support in data centers or related environments.
• Strong data center infrastructure knowledge and white space technologies.
• Experience with server rack integration and DC power systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and documentation.
• Experience delivering technical training or knowledge transfer.
• Knowledge of adult learning theory.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual training platforms.

Responsibilities

• Instruct field service safety and technical classes on whitespace infrastructure technologies.
• Deliver instructor-led and virtual training on rack solutions, power systems, and related infrastructure.
• Prepare classrooms, demonstration environments, and training labs.
• Deliver training to technicians, customers, partners, and internal associates across levels.
• Adapt course materials for virtual and hybrid learning environments.
• Create realistic field-based training scenarios for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and readiness.
• Modify instructional delivery to accommodate varying experience levels.
• Model and enforce Vertiv safety guidelines at all times.
• Drive creation and improvement of technical training content.
• Support course development through SME input, product research, and content review.
• Develop instructor guides, student workbooks, presentations, and labs.
• Create hands-on exercises simulating real-world deployment and support.
• Participate in New Product Development to support training readiness.
• Perform training needs analyses and identify skill gaps.
• Support and maintain training labs and equipment; manage scheduling and logistics.
• Travel up to 10% and ensure training environments are safe and operational.
