Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Technical Instructor, Whitespace Infrastructure to deliver hands-on and classroom training for field technicians, installers, customers, and partners. You will develop course materials, labs, and assessments while collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, and Learning & Development to keep content aligned with product releases.

The role emphasizes installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and best practices for data center white space

Qualifications

• Two-year electrical, electronic, computer systems, information tech degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in data center/mission-critical environments.
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and white space tech.
• Experience with server rack integration and rack deployment methods.
• Knowledge of DC power systems and rack power distribution.
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring and device management.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical docs.
• Knowledge of adult learning theory or instructional best practices.

Responsibilities

• Instruct field service safety and technical classes on whitespace infrastructure technologies.
• Deliver instructor-led and virtual training on rack solutions, DC power systems, and monitoring platforms.
• Prepare classrooms, labs, and demonstration environments.
• Develop and maintain instructor guides, student workbooks, and course materials.
• Adapt content for virtual/hybrid learning and diverse experience levels.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Support product launches and new product training readiness.
• Maintain training labs and equipment; manage logistics and scheduling.
