Job summary

T5 Data Centers is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician to join our team supporting 24/7 data center operations. You will operate and maintain critical infrastructure, monitor environmental conditions, and drive improvements in reliability and safety.

Working with a team, you will perform preventive maintenance, follow CMMS workflows, and assist in developing procedures and standards to ensure high uptime and safety across the facility.

Qualifications

• High school degree is required.
• Prior military or technical school training is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in mission critical environments.
• Electrical or mechanical license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain critical and non-critical data center infrastructure, equipment, and systems.
• Work with a team of CFTs to deliver total availability (100% uptime) while minimizing risks.
• Monitor power, cooling capacity, and environmental conditions within the data halls.
• Utilize a CMMS to manage planned and unplanned data center work.
• Perform preventive maintenance on data center electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Assist with development and execution of operating procedures and inspections.
• Assist with development of Data Center standards and policies when necessary.
• Respond to emergencies and communicate issues to the appropriate chain of command.
• Complete facility rounds and work with outside contractors following safety rules.
