Job summary

Core Scientific seeks a Critical Facilities Technician to manage and maintain data center infrastructure, ensuring safety and reliability while driving continuous improvements in operations.

You will work on both critical and non‑critical systems, collaborating with fellow CFTs to uphold high availability and adhere to company standards. Shifts cover 24/7 operations, with on-site work and occasional travel to data centers as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of experience in mission critical environments.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain critical and non‑critical data center infrastructure, equipment, and systems.
• Work with a team of CFTs to deliver total availability (100% uptime) while minimizing risks.
• Monitor power, cooling capacity, and environmental conditions within the data halls.
• Utilize CMMS to manage planned and unplanned data center work.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Assist with development and execution of operating procedures and inspections to ensure accuracy and continual improvement.
