Job summary

T5 Data Centers is seeking an Assistant Critical Facilities Manager to oversee critical and non-critical data center infrastructure, with a focus on safety, reliability, and 100% uptime. You will help build a team of technicians and work with contractors to ensure seamless operations.

The role requires managing power, cooling, environmental monitoring, and 24x7 shifts, along with on-call support and CMMS governance. Leadership, budgeting, and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent with 3–5+ years in mission critical environments.
• Minimum 1 year direct management of non-exempt shift-based employees.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a colocation data center environment preferred.
• Experience establishing a new colocation data center or data hall preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the CFM in managing operation and maintenance of critical and non-critical data center infrastructure, equipment, and systems.
• Assist the CFM in building a staff of CFTs with required skill sets to achieve total availability.
• Manage power and cooling capacity and monitor environmental conditions.
• Provide on-call support and respond to data center emergencies 24x7.
• Oversee CMMS usage and ensure data accuracy and reporting.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors and manage budgets and resource planning.
• Assist with client relations and site tours for current and future customers.
