Johnson Controls seeks an experienced Technology Strategy Applications Engineer to solve data center cooling challenges and enhance brand awareness in the Data Center Vertical.

You will report to the Director of Business Development and Technology Strategy for Thermal Management and collaborate with the Global Data Center Technical Selling team to craft efficient cooling solutions for mission critical facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years designing mechanical cooling systems (chillers, chilled water pumping, storage systems)
• Minimum 5 years in data center design of cooling systems for IT equipment
• Strong technical knowledge of mission‑critical cooling systems and market trends
• Excellent presentation and communication skills; able to influence at all levels
• Experience in writing product specifications for end users, consultants, and installers
• Experience in strategic planning, marketing, and market research
• Highly developed prospecting skills to identify key decision-makers
• Able to work independently while collaborating with internal teams
• Willingness to travel globally as needed

Responsabilités

• Identify challenges and goals of data center designers, develop tailored solutions
• Define scalable, repeatable thermal management solutions applicable across sites/geographies
• Develop globally applicable reference designs for facility water production
• Engage with partners to author white papers and application guides
• Collaborate with engineers, marketing, and product teams to meet market needs
• Provide technical support on facility water cooling products to internal and external teams
• Engage with industry events and design communities to advance cooling architectures
