Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Thermal Field Service Technician to support startup, commissioning and maintenance of data center cooling systems. You will participate in the Vertiv Certification program and collaborate with customers and field teams nationwide.

This entry-level role requires hands-on aptitude, mobility, and the ability to lift up to 50–75 pounds. You will travel to sites, perform preventative maintenance, and aim to obtain EPA608 license within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with hand tools and power tools.
• Familiarity with electrical/electronic test equipment and fundamentals.
• Technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Computer skills and understanding computer logic.
• HVAC basic understanding preferred but not required.
• Elementary repair techniques under supervision.
• Understanding of psychrometrics.
• Strong mathematical capabilities.
• Ability to work at heights and on ladders.
• EPA608 license required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Startup, commissioning and service on data center cooling systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, take readings and measurements.
• Coil cleaning, filter changes and fluid sampling/remediation.
• Assist more experienced technicians and document work.
• Maintain rapport with customers, co-workers and sales reps.
