Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Data Center Thermal Application Engineer to design and deploy advanced cooling solutions for high‑density workloads. You will work with CDU, Dry Cooler, and fan array vendors to ensure scalable, reliable cooling architectures and support site deployment from planning through commissioning.

Responsibilities include thermal modeling, airflow optimization, system sizing, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to improve energy efficiency and PUE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or thermal engineering.
• 5+ years in data center cooling, thermal engineering, or HVAC.
• Experience with CDU, liquid cooling, Dry Cooler, and fan arrays.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE TC9.9 guidelines and data center standards.
• Strong communication across internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate thermal solutions using liquid cooling and air cooling.
• Define system‑level cooling architectures and validate through testing.
• Collaborate with CDU, Dry Cooler, and fan array suppliers.
• Lead deployment, FAT/SAT testing, and field optimization.
