Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking Telecommunications Technicians to support large-scale commercial data center construction projects in the Greater Fort Wayne area. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity based in New Carlisle, IN, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM and a mandatory 50-hour work week.

Ideal candidates will have 6 months of low voltage, structured cabling, or data center experience and be comfortable with pulling and routing cables, installing racks, terminations,

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of commercial low voltage, telecommunications, structured cabling, or data center experience.
• Experience pulling and routing low-voltage cable in commercial environments.
• Knowledge and safe use of basic telecom hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Pull, route, dress, and secure copper and fiber optic cabling throughout commercial data centers.
• Assist with installation of structured cabling systems, including Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic infrastructure.
• Build, assemble, and install server racks and cabinets.
