Jacobs is seeking a hands-on Preconstruction Manager - Telecom to bridge engineering design and on-site construction for major industrial projects across the U.S. The role involves coordinating with internal teams and contractors to develop bid packages ensuring complete scope coverage during construction.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in electrical engineering or 15+ years in industrial construction, plus a Bachelors in engineering or equivalent.

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years experience in Electrical engineering or 15 years in industrial construction management.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience, including certified technical training.
Understanding of construction means, methods, codes and standards.
Experience interpreting low voltage electrical design drawings for construction purposes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership in resolving design and constructability concerns.
Identify schedule and cost-savings opportunities from design and modularization.
Identify trade partners for early contractor engagement.
Coordinate cross-discipline evaluation of telecom and low voltage for construction sequencing.
Identify risks for long-lead activities and align with construction schedule.
Develop and review construction bid packages for contractor award.
Coordinate full WBS across stakeholders.
