Job summary

Oracle’s Catalyst Velocity program is a 12-week paid training track in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure data center operations. The program develops hands-on skills in server hardware, networking, Linux, and safety, with mentorship and career development to position trainees for permanent Data Center Technician roles.

The anticipated start is January 25, 2027, in a US NM-based setting. Eligible participants gain real hands-on experience, scalable training, and a pathway to full-time opportunities

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in IT/CS/Electronics/Networking/Data Center Operations or related technical discipline or equivalent military experience or data center operation experience
• Four years of military service with relevant technical/ops experience or
• Two years of experience in data center operations, IT infrastructure, networking, telecom or related fields
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Demonstrated interest in technology and desire to build a data center operations career
• Ability to learn technical concepts and follow documented procedures with precision
• Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills
• Basic understanding of math/computational concepts
• Basic computer skills; MAC experience a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in data center environments
• Ability to travel locally and up to 5% domestically
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this role (US)

Responsibilities

• Data center operations and hardware support: rack-and-stack servers and network devices; deployments, upgrades, replacements, decommissioning; basic break/fix; hardware lifecycle management; learn troubleshooting techniques
• Network installation and cabling: install, organize, label copper/fiber cabling; assist with network equipment installations; verify cable integrity
• Ticket management and operational support: use approved ticketing systems; document work; follow SLAs and procedures
• Inventory and logistics: receive, stage, track, audit, ship equipment; maintain inventory records; support warehouse activities
• Safety and compliance: follow SOPs/MOPs and safety requirements; maintain clean work environment; use PPE
