Job summary

Smith is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support inbound and outbound operations for IT hardware. You will receive, inspect, test, catalog and repair servers, workstations and networking gear, ensuring data erasure and factory resets where needed.

You will also organize inventory, label items, and assist with shipment preparation. Strong coding proficiency in Python, SQL, or JavaScript is required, along with relevant certifications and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years IT hardware assembly, testing, troubleshooting and repair.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL and/or JavaScript.
• Certifications listed above or equivalent credentials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Stage, organize, and process purchase order materials.
• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, and catalog IT hardware.
• Erase data from storage devices and reset to factory specs.
• Update status of purchase orders and meet project deadlines.
• Assist with process improvements and maintain safety requirements.
