Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a hands-on data center support technician to assist in a 24x7 facility. You will install, rack, maintain, and troubleshoot servers and network equipment, handle cabling, and monitor environmental conditions while coordinating with customers and internal teams.

The role requires 6+ months in an enterprise data center, strong communication, and flexibility for non-standard hours. Experience with ticketing systems and industry certs is a plus.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of relevant experience in an enterprise-class data center environment.
• Basic understanding of data center hardware and cabling, including Cat6/Cat6a.
• High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license, and ability to pass background/drug screen.
• Ability to handle physical requirements including lifting, climbing ladders, walking and standing for long periods.
• Strong customer communication, detail-oriented mindset, reliability and punctuality.
• Open to flexible/non-standard hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation.
• Server experience is a plus, familiarity with ticketing systems and data center best practices.
• Certifications such as CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, Dell, HP are a plus.
• Experience installing and configuring software and services.
• Experience interacting with customers and vendors.
• Environmental condition monitoring/reporting in a data center setting.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations inside a 24x7 mission-critical data center facility.
• Install, rack, maintain, troubleshoot, and decommission servers, network devices, and storage equipment.
• Support copper/fiber cabling work and Cat6/Cat6a termination and testing.
• Monitor and report environmental conditions and manage tickets.
• Interact with customers, vendors, and internal teams as needed.
