Job summary

Salute is seeking a Data Center Facilities Technician to perform structured cabling installations and server rack deployments at our Boydton, VA data center. This hands-on role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and a strong work ethic in a team environment.

Technical training will be provided; prior experience is not required. The position offers an hourly rate, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities to work on complex data center projects for

Qualifications

• Knowledge of how to properly utilize power tools.
• Ability to read and understand cabling maps.
• Ability to work at different heights, in confined spaces, and on varied surfaces.
• Ability to use mobile application technology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams; familiarity with Salesforce/ADP/Expensify is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, and secure structured cabling according to project specs.
• Assist with server rack deployments and related hardware setup.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Complete tasks assigned by Team Lead in a timely and accurate manner.
• Support QA by adhering to installation standards.
• Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
• Follow precise instructions for tasks and materials movement.
• Perform data center pre-cabling per standards and manage inventory.
• Coordinate travel for client needs as required.
