Job summary

Reboot Monkey in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a Data Center Technician for a full-time, on-site role supporting critical infrastructure at world-class facilities. You will install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment to ensure high availability and uptime.

The role requires 3+ years in data center operations, strong cabling skills, and familiarity with DCIM and ITIL practices. On-call duties may apply, with shift differentials when necessary.

Qualifications

• 3+ years data center operations experience.
• Strong cabling skills and structured cabling experience.
• Experience with server and network equipment installation.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices (preferred).
• Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS, CDCE) and vendor certs (Dell, HPE, Cisco) are a plus (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
• Participate in capacity planning and upgrades.
