Job summary

NTT Global Data Centers is seeking a Data Center Technician to uphold the operational integrity of electrical, mechanical, and fire life safety systems. The role focuses on maintaining uptime, collaborating with contractors, and ensuring compliance across the data center environment.

You will monitor, troubleshoot, and repair data center equipment, read schematics, and assist in implementing efficiency improvements while supporting preventive maintenance programs and cost reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of data center mechanical, electrical, and fire life safety systems.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA codes and compliance issues.
• Experience with monitoring systems and plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develops approaches to minimize costs and improve efficiency.
• Maintain chilled water systems, HVAC units, CRAC/CRAH units, and humidification systems.
• Manage electrical distribution from main switchgear to customer load and UPS.
• Oversee fire life safety systems including sprinklers and detectors.
• Read blueprints and order diagrams to determine processes.
• Install and assemble electrical or electronic components with hand tools.
• Monitor facilities systems and respond to abnormal conditions.
• Coordinate with contractors for QA and system upgrades.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
