Job summary

NTT Global Data Centers is seeking a Data Center Technician to support operational integrity of electrical, mechanical, and fire life safety systems within a data center environment. The role emphasizes reliability, efficiency, and regulatory compliance to maximize customer uptime.

You will work with CF Ops Lead Technician to maintain preventive maintenance, review system performance, and coordinate with contractors on upgrades and expansions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and fire life safety systems in data center environments and how they interconnect.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 72, NFPA 25, and related building codes for fire life safety compliance.
• Experience with data trending/tracking and PC-based critical monitoring systems.
• Strong written and oral communication with customers and internal teams.
• Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting large commercial/industrial systems (e.g., CHW systems, VFDs, pumps, HVAC equipment, UPS).

Responsibilities

• Develops approaches to minimize operational costs, improve efficiency, and implement new strategies.
• Maintain and operate mechanical, electrical, and fire life safety systems.
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to abnormal conditions to ensure uptime.
• Coordinate with contractors for maintenance, upgrades, and quality assurance.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs with CF Ops Lead Technician.
• Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams to determine processes and sequences.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal staff; work in a team environment.
• Regular, predictable attendance is essential to satisfactory performance.
