Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a Data Center Technician to uphold the operational integrity of electrical, mechanical, and fire life safety systems within our data centers. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and repair equipment to maximize customer uptime and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will read blueprints, install components, and coordinate with contractors while maintaining a proactive maintenance program to prevent failures and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical distribution and building systems in data centers.
• Familiarity with NFPA codes and safety standards.
• Experience with preventive maintenance practices.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Develops approaches to minimize costs while improving efficiency.
• Maintain/inspect mechanical systems (HVAC, chilled water, humidification).
• Maintain electrical systems from main switchgear to customer load.
• Inspect and test fire life safety systems and detectors.
• Read blueprints and diagrams to determine processes.
• Install/assemble electrical components with tools.
• Operate and monitor data center facilities systems and respond to abnormal conditions.
• Coordinate with contractors for maintenance and upgrades.
• Contribute to preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
