Job summary

Aldreya? Astreya is seeking a Data Center Technician II to assist with hardware installation, cabling, and data center maintenance. This role requires meticulous labeling, ticketing communications, and adherence to SOPs, safety, and security policies.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED with 2–5 years of related experience, strong English communication, and the ability to respond to on-call requests within one hour. Transportation to sites is required.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of related experience or training; high school diploma or GED.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• On-call response within 1 hour.
• Experience with ticketing systems.
• Cable systems installation per SOPs.
• Experience with CAT5e/CAT6 copper and fiber.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Working knowledge of computer hardware.
• Understanding of networking components and infrastructures.
• Knowledge of copper and fiber testers.
• Understanding data center best practices.
• Experience with cable management in a data center.
• Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, and bandwidth infrastructures.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment.
• Willingness to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Install, move, and decommission hardware in the data center.
• Confirm and label devices, racks, and cables.
• Work in a ticketing system with clear communications.
• Follow SOPs and program policies; maintain safety and security.
