Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure in hyperscale and enterprise data centers. Primarily Plano, TX, with opportunities to work at other Texas locations.

You will perform rack-and-stack, cabling, provisioning, testing, and field support while adhering to safety and engineering standards. Ideal candidates have 1+ year in data center operations or IT infrastructure, with knowledge of copper/fiber cabling, racks,

Qualifications

1+ year of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure.
Working knowledge of data center hardware, racks, networking gear, and power systems.
Experience with cabling, labeling, and cable management.

Responsibilities

Install and deploy servers, network devices, storage, and related infrastructure.
Route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and management.
Install PDUs, connect equipment to power sources, and verify connectivity.
Provide equipment provisioning and OOB management connections.
Perform testing/validation including continuity and fiber verification.
Execute MACD activities and standard FRU replacements per procedures.
Maintain installation records and as-built documentation.
Escalate design, operational issues, and safety risks to senior staff.
