Job summary

Covestic Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to support installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of servers, networking gear, and cabling in our data center environment.

You will work with Data Center Leads to ensure reliability and performance of operations. The role emphasizes hands-on hardware skills, inventory control, and cross-functional collaboration, with potential for future software exposure.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A Real ID or other federally accepted identification for U.S. travel.
  • Minimum 1 year of general work experience.
  • Basic knowledge of or hands-on experience with computer hardware and repair.
  • Ability to travel to supported data center locations.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new software and tools.
  • Strong professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable wearing PPE for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and move at least 50 pounds.
  • Capable of walking long distances throughout the day.
  • Willingness to work in environments that may include hot aisles and indoor areas reaching 90+ degrees Fahrenheit during certain times of the year.

Responsibilities

  • Support installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of servers and networking equipment.
  • Contribute to timely ticket resolution.
  • Pull and manage inventory according to documented processes.
  • Work cross-functionally to maintain accurate inventory systems.
  • Develop skills in server repair techniques, including replacing drives, RAM, motherboards, and other components.
  • Assist with physical tasks such as moving and racking equipment for projects.
  • Hardware/component replacement focus with potential for software involvement in the future.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management to support operational goals.

Job description

As aData Center Technician, you will work closely with Data Center Leads to support the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of servers, networking equipment, and cabling. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability and performance of our data center operations.

How You Will Make an Impact
