Covestic Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician I to work with Data Center Leads on installs, troubleshooting, and maintaining servers, networking gear, and cabling.

The role involves understanding ticket management, pulling inventory, updating systems, learning server repair methods, and assisting with moving/racking equipment for special projects. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential as you grow in this hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred or in progress.
• 1+ years of computer hardware repair experience.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware/repair.
• Strong written and verbal communication; detail oriented.
• Ability to learn new software quickly.
• Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Support installs, troubleshooting, and maintaining servers, networking equipment, and cabling.
• Pull required inventory as defined by the inventory process with accuracy; update inventory systems.

As a Data Center Technician I, you will be working alongside Data Center Leads in supporting installs, troubleshooting, and maintaining servers, networking equipment, and cabling.

• Pull required inventory as defined by the inventory process with accuracy


• Update inventory systems as required


• Start to understand, learn, and apply server repair methods to data center equipment


• Physically assist in moving and racking equipment as directed for special projects


• Other tasks as required by management

What You Need to Succeed:

• HS Diploma or GED


• Associate or Bachelor's degree OR working towards one is a plus


• 1+ years of computer hardware repair experience


• Basic knowledge of or hands-on experience with computer hardware/repair


• Ability to learn new software quickly


• Professional communication skills, both verbal and written


• Self-motivated, professional, and strong attention to detail


• Ability to multi-task
